Units 3 and 4 at SSE’s Ferrybridge ‘C’ coal-fired power station in Yorkshire have returned to service following a fire in July.
SSE has sold its subsidiary SSE Pipelines Ltd to a new fund, the Environmental Capital Fund (ECF) for £52.7 million. ECF is managed by Scottish Equity Partners LLP (SEP).
SSE has reduced its holding in the Beatrice offshore wind farm to 50%. It has disposed of 25% to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. Spanish energy major Repsol will maintain its ownership of the remaining 25% of the project.
Although SSE added 200MW to its wind power portfolio, lack of wind meant that generation from wind fell 22% in the six months to 30 September, compared to the previous year, the company said in a half-year trading update.
