Aquamarine Power restructures

Wave energy company Aquamarine Power has announced plans to slim down its business. The company originated the "Oyster" wave machine, now undergoing testing.
Chief executive John Malcolm said after a strategic review that the company would "retain a core operational and management team to run the business and continue maintaining our Oyster 800 wave machine at the European Marine Energy Centre in Orkney.” It has begun consultation with staff on a restructuring and redundancy programme.
