EC opens antitrust case against Gazprom

The European Commission has taken on Russian gas supplier Gazprom, saying that it is breaching antitrust rules in its gas supply business.
In a statement of objections, the EC says Gazprom is hindering competition in eight markets: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania , Poland and Slovakia.  
The Commission had three grounds for its case.
