Fears over AD

The government’s latest review of support for anaerobic ­digestion (AD) and micro-CHP (combined heat and power) will make it “even harder to deploy viable AD plants”, according to the industry body the ­Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA).

The consultation is ­seeking input on the future level of support for AD and micro-CHP. The review suggested cutting to zero the feed-in tariff (FIT) for AD plants sized 500kW-5MW.
