Terre, the EU Internal Energy Market’s (IEM) reserve market platform, has gone live – although only, at this stage, within the Czech Republic. This frst implementation is due to be followed by two more – in Spain and Portugal – in March, when cross-border trades will be made for the first time. The UK Implementation will follow alongside France, planned for the end of June. Giving an update on the new platform, National Grid ESO (NGESO) said it was planning to start end-to-end testing in February and asked for more market participants to take part.
