Former regulators challenge CMA

Stephen Littlechild, Sir Callum McCarthy, Eileen Marshall, Stephen Smith and Clare Spottiswoode wrote to the Commons Select Committee on Energy and Climate Change, which has opened an inquiry into the CMA’s investigation and remedies package. The five – all former senior executives at gas or electricity regulators – said the CMA’s analysis and conclusions were “seriously flawed” and raised particular concerns.
