General election delays legislation on rollout of electric vehicle charging points

The general election has halted progress on a clean air bill designed to cut diesel emissions in urban centres that also aimed to give new impetus to low-emission vehicles. The bill would have required the government to produce a parliamentary report on the costs, benefits and feasibility of a national network of charging points for electric vehicles and supply points for hydrogen vehicles.
