Canadian Solar has completed the sale of 24 operational solar power plants across England, Wales and Scotland, with a total capacity of 142MWp, to Greencoat Solar II, managed by Greencoat Capital.

The portfolio is expected to provide inflation-linked solar power generation revenues for 20 years under the Renewables Obligation and Feed-in Tariff schemes. The portfolio was valued at £191.2 million.

Meanwhile, Greencoat Renewables has acquired Lisdowney, a 9.2MW wind farm situated in County Kilkenny, for €22.5 million.
