New Power leader: Don’t forget the ‘electric’ part of the EV strategy

The government is developing an excellent industrial strategy around electric vehicles.

It has reiterated its promise of £246 million in research funding into battery technology (first announced in April as the Faraday Competition). It has promised investment to expand the charging network and is working on strategies for “soft” issues such as interoperability of charging points.
