Offshore CfD pot split; PV and wind competition cuts prices onshore

The inaugural Contracts for Difference auction for low carbon technologies has resulted in contract offers for 27 projects totalling around 2GW of capacity.
Two offshore wind projects won at least partial support: East Anglia 1 (contract award at £119.89/MWh for 718MW) and Neart na Gaoithe (£114.39/MWh for the 448MW project).  Onshore wind took 15 contracts priced at £82.50 and £79.99/MWh, with multiple wins for Banks Renewables and RWR Innogy.
