Parliamentary Watch: No role for onshore wind and CCS as energy bills multiply

MPs have polished off their deliberations on the Energy Bill in just seven committee sittings.

The legislation, with the reinserted provisions for the early closure of the Renewables Obligation (RO) regime for onshore wind generation, is now waiting for report stage and third reading and the inevitable ping-pong with the Lords over the changes made in the lower chamber, which reverse the ambushes made by peers.
