Statoil grows

Statoil is to takes over as operator of the Sheringham Shoal offshore windfarm from January 2017 and will increase its share in Dogger Bank.

Statoil will increase its share of the Dogger Bank project from 25% to around 50% by acquiring Statkraft’s share. The final shareholding change, and the transfer of operatorship for Sheringham Shoal, is pending partner and government
approvals.

Dogger Bank is the world’s largest offshore wind development, having achieved consent for an agreed target installed capacity of 4,800MW.
