Supplier chiefs want more oversight from Ofgem

Two energy suppliers in UK energy markets have closed this winter. 

GB Energy Supply ceased trading in October and its customers were taken on, under ‘supplier of last resort’ arrangements, by Co-Operative Energy. In December, Northern Ireland supplier Open Electric had its licence revoked and the Northern Ireland Utility Regulator oversaw a transfer of its customers to nominated supplier Power NI.

Following the closure of GB Energy Supply, New Power spoke to two energy company chiefs about their concerns.
