Thieves target solar sites

Police in Lincolnshire are warning solar farm operators to be more vigilant following a spate of solar panel thefts in the county as well as other parts of the country.
Thieves took 66 panels from a large-scale solar farm near Sutton St James in mid-March while 58 solar panels were taken from a site in Brant Broughton, near Newark-on-Trent.
Earlier thieves targeted a 20 MW solar farm near Sudbury, Derbyshire, owned by Solarcentury, as well as 28.5 MW solar farm owned by Vogt Solar near Cambridge, Gloucestershire.
