Amber Infrastructure has announced it is the funder for the UK’s largest roof mounted solar panel array at Marks and Spencer’s East Midlands Distribution Centre at Castle Donington. It will supply and install the 24,000 PV panels involved.
The 6.1MW project, which is expected to be completed in early 2015, covers the site’s 900,000 sq ft roof and is expected to make the site “close to self-sufficient during daylight hours”.
