Brexit considerations in power-sector contracts

Law firm CMS notes that “power contracts” simply means contracts related to the power sector. In the context of a specific development – a power generation project, say – power contracts need to take into account the commercial, regulatory and consenting landscape in which the power project will be taken forward and operate. This includes licensing and industry frameworks; wholesale market; planning documentation; land agreements; construction and operation contracts; offtake or revenue stream arrangements, and any subsidy arrangements; financing documentation and equity arrangements.
