The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult has launched a project to accelerate offshore turbine power train research and development activities.

The catapult is seeking to collaborate with universities in the UK to work on the project. The new Powertrain Research Hub (PTRH) will attract a five-year investment of about £700,000 from ORE Catapult and will be leveraged with match-funding as a minimum from the university applicants. The hub will focus on addressing the following key research topics and themes:
