CATO regime takes shape as parts of Moorside’s connection are lined up for tender

Ofgem has announced that a portion of the new network planned to connect to NuGen’s new nuclear power station at Moorside is likely to be among the first Competitively Appointed Network Owners (CATO). 

The regulator has opened a consultation on the plan with a view to announcing a framework for a tender for the south section of the North West Coast Connections (NWCC) project in the first half of 2017, with the tender opened in 2018.
