Centrica shares slide; Killingholme and Brigg to shut

Shares in Centrica fell 8% on 19 February after the company announced its first dividend cut since the company was created in 1997. The 30% slice was necessary to protect the company’s credit rating, said chief executive Iain Conn, after pretax profits fell 40% to £1.3 billion.
