CfD allocation for marine is ‘adequate to 2020’

The UK’s fledgling wave and tidal sector will not fill its ring-fenced 100MW allocation for Contracts for Difference (CfDs) before 2020, the industry believes. Calum Davidson, director of energy and low carbon at Highland and Islands Enterprise, told New Power, “I would be surprised if we breach that [100MW allocation] this decade”.
