CMA finds too little competition in prepayment

Prepayment customers get a raw deal from energy suppliers, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has found. It says a lack of competitive tariffs adds £150-250 to customer bills, and because of technical constraints and a perception that they are of higher cost to the supplier, there is little incentive for suppliers to offer competitive tariffs and compete for those customers.
