The Aberthaw B power station is to close. Owner RWE has proposed to close the 1,560MW plant on 31 March 2020.
The company will transfer its Capacity Market agreements for 2019/20 and 2020/21 to Peterhead (SSE), 350MW to West Burton A (EDF), 66MW to Cowes (Innogy) and 20MW to Grimsby (Innogy).
