National Grid and Statnett joint venture NSN Link has signed cabling contracts totalling €1.5 billion for cabling and connections for the Nemo link between GB and Norway.
National Grid and Statnett joint venture NSN Link has signed cabling contracts totalling €1.5 billion for cabling and connections for the Nemo link between GB and Norway.
Contracts were placed with two cable suppliers, Prysmian and Nexans, to deliver twin cabling totalling 1,450km for the 740km link. The converter stations in the UK and Norway will be supplied by ABB.
The interconnector will have a capacity of 1,400MW and is due to be operable by 2021.
