Cornwall Energy finds credit and collateral costs hit new entrants and CfD parties hardest

Credit and collateral requirements for the energy industry could soon exceed £4 billion per year, new research by Cornwall Energy for the Department of Energy and Climate Change has found. The requirement falls heaviest on new entrant suppliers, and Contracts for Difference (CfDs) for renewable energy will be a new “credit-intense” burden, the report found.
