Déjà vu: Still grappling with infrastructure planning

More than a decade since a Labour administration attempted to create a regime for handling key projects, uncertainty and indecision are back.

In May, the Queen’s Speech trailed a Neighbourhood Planning and Infrastructure Bill. This would include: “A new statutory basis for the independent National Infrastructure Commission (NIC), to help invest in Britain’s long term future.”
