Ofgem chairman David Gray put up a robust defence of the organisation in September, when he gave the annual energy lecture to the Worshipful Company of Fuellers.
Gray said there was a danger that distrust in the energy industry was “self feeding”, as political complaints were reflected in the media in a “downwards spiral”.
