Dong Energy is to proceed with the Race Bank offshore wind farm, the company has announced. It will be built under the Renewables Obligation, earning 1.8Rocs/MWh.
The project will have a capacity of around 580MW, expected to be generated from 91 Siemens turbines each rated at 6MW. The wind farm is expected to be operable from 2018.
