The ESO has completed its first weekly auction to procure firm frequency response. Grid Beyond, Limejump, BESS Claredown and Equinicity were all successful in the auction.

Up to now FFR has been procured in month-ahead or year-ahead tenders. But the ESO has been working with Epex (European Power Exchange) to develop a platform for weekly procurement.
