Killingholme gets go-ahead

Energy secretary Ed Davey has given the green light to CGEN Killingholme for the company’s proposals for a 470MW plant on the south bank of the Humber Estuary near North Killingholme, Lincolnshire.
The plant has been designed to operate either as a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) or as an integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) plant, allowing it to be fitted with carbon capture and storage.
