Ofgem has opened a tender for an Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) to acquire the connection to Burbo Bank Extension – the only ‘Round 4’ tender. First power from the project is due in October this year and the initial transfer value of the link is set at £230 million. Pre-qualification launches in April.
