A tender will open on 29 October for three offshore transmission assets, Ofgem has announced. The regulator says the three links will together be worth more than £2 billion.

The assets are links to three offshore wind farms:

– Beatrice (588MW), 13km off of the Caithness coast;

– Hornsea 1 (1,218MW), 120km from the Yorkshire/Lincolnshire coast; and

– EastAngliaONE (714MW), 43km from the East Anglia/Suffolk coast.
