Nuclear supplier Areva has now set 2018 as the new date when it expects its Finnish nuclear reactor at Olkiluoto to begin operation.
The company said the EPR reactor – which is a template for EDF’s planned plant for Hinkley Point in Somerset – would begin commissioning in 2016.
