PAC report lays bare government failings on LCF, calls for transparency

The government should begin to publish an annual report on how subsidies covered by the Levy Control Framework (LCF) are affecting energy prices and customer bills, and produce the first one by April. That was the call from the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in a report on consumer-funded energy policies. Consumers should be able see clearly what they are paying, the committee said, calling for a better governed and more transparent scheme.
