Three European companies face fines for breaching Remit rules.
The Danish Regulatory Authority for Energy and Danish State Prosecutor for Serious Economic and International Crime said Energi Danmark had hoarded capacity on electricity interconnectors by trading with itself in ten instances during 2015. This hampered competition and the trades could have caused misleading signals or artificial prices on the intraday wholesale electricity market. Energi Danmark was fined €100,000 and returned revenues of €47,000.
