Setting up a future system architecture has to start now

The industry has less than three years to make some fundamental decisions about the likely shape of a future flexible and distributed industry. That is because the direction of travel for networks has to be ready before the groundwork is laid for the next network price controls, Mott MacDonald’s Simon Harrison said at the publication of a report on the Future Power System Architecture (FPSA) project.
