Ofgem has promised to “robustly defend” its decision to reject a claim by large generators for a refund on charges they paid to use the transmission network. SSE and EDF Energy have appealed against the decision to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). The authority has granted permission to appeal and it is due to publish its decision by 12 February.
