Feed-in tariffs (FITs) for anaerobic digestion (AD), photovoltaics (PV) and wind installations of 100-1,500kW have been so in demand that installations are now queued to 2017, with some windfarms having to wait until October 2017, according to recent figures from Ofgem.
The quarterly spending caps were introduced by the former Department of Energy and Climate Change last year as a way to control spending. Installations that do not get FIT deployment in the quarter they apply will be queued for entry into the next available deployment cap.
