Utility-scale solar still on the increase

Sian Crampsie found that there are still large-scale solar PV projects going into operation and in developer pipelines

Construction of large-scale solar farms in the UK continued in early 2016 as developers finalised the building out of their ROC-accredited portfolios.

Developers and EPC firms raced in late 2015 and early 2016 to complete grace period projects, bringing online major solar farms such as the Scottow Moor project in Norfolk, BayWa r.e.’s 45MW Vine Farm solar park in Cambridgeshire and the 40MW Cowdown project in Hampshire.
