Commodities shipper and trader Trafigura wants to reopen an import terminal for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Teesside, the Financial Times reports.
The terminal was shut two years ago after previous attempts to import LNG only attracted a handful of cargoes. It will accept vessels with storage and regasification units, avoiding the $1 billion cost of upgrading to a large-scale LNG import terminal.
