New Power has been tracking GB’s solar PV market in its Database this month. Several new, large-scale project proposals have been made over the past few months in Scotland, Wales and England, reflecting falling technology costs as well as a growing corporate PPA market. Lightsource BP is reportedly working on a 300MW corporate PPA-backed solar PV portfolio, and has been consulting over the last few weeks on several large-scale projects. Next Energy Solar Fund (NESF) and Elgin Energy are also developing subsidy-free PV portfolios.
