Shell has claimed the UK’s first 150kW electric vehicle charger on a forecourt, at a Shell/Waitrose site in Battersea, London. The new charger is a part of Shell Recharge, Shell’s on-forecourt electric vehicle charging service.

The 150kW charger allows drivers to charge their vehicles in a third of the time taken by existing 50kW rapid chargers, which take up to 30 minutes. Shell says it plans to install hundreds more of both types of charge posts on retail sites across the UK.
