The Irish government has published legislation designed to reform the country’s marine spatial and consent planning system.The aim is to modernise and streamline the process for approving maritime infrastructure projects, including offshore renewable energy schemes.The new regime will replace existing separate state and development consent arrangements with a single consent regime.
